Ken Block
I thought I'd share this video w/ you guys too, just incase you didn't know who Ken Block was. Another reason I kinda look towards what this man is doing. Cause I know alot of you have heard of DC shoes but did you know.. roll the beautiful bean footage..hahaha
This is where I'd like to see Cult get. And I still need to explain what Cult is, cause right now I'm really pushing "The Council Cycling", but they're the same thing one is just driven more toward cycling side of the fashion industry, but it's all Cult, one more thing I'll try to get around to letting you know about this week. I feel alot of really long days coming. But things most be down. Believe In Cult.

Another day
Man these past couple of days have been pretty blah. I've had the days of from the day job, but the rain hasn't really let up and I've found myself stuck in the house. Which is the place that you normally would find me, but for some reason it's been brutal being in the house.
I got out for a little bit when it stopped raining for a second and met up w/ Giorgio, did some laps around the bluejacket track but that didn't last to long. And as I normal do I forgot to take some pictures so I would have something more than word to share on the blog. But I failed again. I really need to work on that.
The shirts still haven't come in yet and the race is this wkend. So I've decide that I'll give them til the middle of the wk to call, then I call. There are still a few things that I want to do to the shirts before the wkend, and just the fact that I want to see how they turned out.
So most of the day has been sent looking at really car stuff, I've gotten really interested in that all of a sudden. I think I saw a commercial or something that sparked my intention. So I'll share one of those videos w/ you.
Today was the first time I've actually seen this Ken Block video. He's not driving the Subura anymore he's driving the 2011 ford fiesta now, but he's still and sick driver. He actually just one his 5th time at the 100 Acre Wood rally this year. Anyways maybe you'll find it cool also and open you up to something new. I might have more videos through out the wk, we will see.
But for now Believe In Cult

Off to the Print
So the excitement is building and the nerves are going as well. I just got back from dropping off the image and paying for the first shirts to be printed, They will be ready for Fixed Fight 4 indeed. I've got my fingers crossed, I'm hoping that they come out nice. This is the first time I've gotten shirts printed using my own design and there wasn't any photoshop work done to them. I hope that people like them. There's only going to be 24 of theses guys so if you want one better grab it up quick. Here are the size amounts that I'll have S- 7 M-13 L-4, I hope this works. I might do another print of them if called for, the shirts will be numbered some how.
Also a huge thanks to Nike and Joey over at Mama Sauce, they really helped me out and answered all the questions that I had. If you've ever got anything that needs to be printed, shirt/poster/cards, I highly recommend them.

Well until later. Believe In Cult

So tired
Getting back into the swing of waking up and going to work everyday is kinda of a buzz kill. Not because I'm lazy and don't like working, but because it pulls me away from being able to work on shirt design and thing related to the shirt and stuff. Been working 10 plus hr days, I like the idea that I'll have money in my pocket again, but it'd be nice if I was making the money on my own terms....
But anyways, two things that I've noticed in the last two days. One were in the world has Marilyn Mason been? I remember being in high school and MTV couldn't seem to stop riding his cock. I can't say I've heard anything about him that I can remember in the last 2 yrs, expect for when Celebrity Divorces was on Tv last night. Which made me do a little research and see what the man had been up to. After doing a little bit of reading on wik I found out that he did actually come out w/ an album last year, and has also be star/directed a few movies over the years. This lead me to looking at photo, and made me remember the interested that I had in him. The visual and the ideas that he came up w/ were pretty rad and interesting. Like this one
I really like visuals like this, they're simple and yet strong. And that's kid of the way I like to draw and make my art, or that's at least the feeling I'm trying to get across w/ what I do.
The other thing that I noticed was the big change that has come in fixed gear trick riding. And unlike alot of people I can't say that I'm so excited about it. I'm a very visual person and from that point alone things have changed so much. The bike went from being sleek and trim, to big and bulky. Tricks seemed seamless to me before, but now when I watch a video every thing just seems chunky. Here's of video of Torey Thornton in Council of Doom
And then you have where we are now.
Yeah the tricks are bigger, and people can take more risk. But where did the fixed gear go. It reminds me alot of bmx. And I love bmx riding. I can get into these new videos because it does take skill to do these trick, but something is messing to me that was there in the early days. And what happen to Keo? The last thing that I can find on him was from back in June of last year, and he was such a big name in the trick community...
Thoughts and opinions are welcome
